Case No.: KR1S/GRz/51/2023
MB/LAW Law Office is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of a restructuring approval proceeding for a company operating in the real estate sector.
The entrepreneur runs a sole proprietorship providing property management and maintenance services for residential communities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous restrictions disrupted the organization of community meetings and hindered contact with developers and investors. As a result, the company’s operational activities were significantly affected. The need to reorganize the office, introduce hybrid work, and a decline in team efficiency further contributed to the financial crisis.
After reviewing the financial documents and conducting an in-depth interview with the Debtor, the MB/LAW team, under the supervision of attorney-at-law Michał Burek, LL.M., licensed restructuring advisor no. 1665, recommended initiating a restructuring approval procedure (PZU). A detailed restructuring plan and timeline for implementation were presented.
Thanks to effective negotiations with creditors and the engagement of the court supervisor — attorney-at-law Michał Burek and the MB/LAW team — the restructuring plan was successfully approved by the District Court on May 30, 2023.
- A portion of interest on certain debts was written off,
- Secured creditors were included in the restructuring arrangement,
- The entire debt was spread into instalments, which significantly reduced the Debtor’s monthly financial burden by over ten thousand zlotys.
